League Constitution
The league was created for the avid fantasy baseball fan to compete and showoff their knowledge and love of the game.
Commitment
Active participation is crucial to the success of the league! There is no set standard for how often GM's should be online, but it's recommended that you check-in often enough to remain current of all league activity:
i) Set your Fantrax line-up WEEKLY
ii) Check-in to the pro-boards site
iii) Respond to private DM's from ADMINs or inquires within a reasonable amount of time.
iv) Participate in FA bidding and other off-season activities. It is understood that some managers will be more active in FA than others and that's fine, but some type of transaction activity (i.e. drafting, chatting, messaging, bidding) is expected as a GM of the league.
Sportsmanship
All managers are asked to always act in an appropriate manner. Obviously, good-natured jabbing is fine and perfectly acceptable and intelligent conversation is encouraged. Common sense here!
Competitive
All GM's are asked to always remain competitive and always put the most competitive team you can on the field each and every week. Make moves with the sole purpose of staying competitive, now or in the future (for the re-builders). All league-related transactions should be executed with the intent of improving the owner’s team and/or its standing within the league.
Fun
With the above in mind, lets keep this fun!
Written Rules and Amendments
This is your league as much as it is ours! We are always willing to listen to suggestions! If a proposal is submitted by any team and reviewed and deemed to work with our structure, we can post in the poll/general discussion section of ProBoards and vote on that ruling. Keep in mind, that ADMIN will have the final decision on the potential rule change (voted on by ADMINs and majority rules (ties go to original rule)), but does not go to say that the league vote will not be the below ADMIN decision. Both are have equal leverage in the voting process. Overall, let's always try to work together to improve our league!
For any league-wide or serious issues pertaining rules/situations that require immediate action, ADMIN always has the right to institute ruling or decisions for the betterment of the league. This will only be discussed and voted on by the committee in the circumstance or case of an unprecedented or odd occasion where integrity of a team or the league is in question. Please understand and be willing to accept that the ruling is official and this is a league created for all GM's to share equal opportunity to compete.
