This is a league poll for public opinion on this matter, NOT confirming a rule change.
Details:
Injury clause/option (one per year) for players who miss a total of 50% of their original contract. GM gets a one-year extension at x1.5 their original AAV (player cannot be FT, can RT)
- This would apply to any contract, including one-year deals and MiLB players (miss half of the season).
- One option per team per year.
- This option would be applied in the off-season.
- Optioned player can only be RT in the off-season, not FT.
